Street Star Buskers Competition Conditions of Entry
  1. $10.00 per competition entry. Cash only folks - it is a busker's competition after all.
  2. Entries open Monday July 13th and close Monday 17th August 2009.

  4. Hard copies can be handed in at Buskers Festival headquarters located on Lake St. adjacent to the City Place Stage (between 12 Bar Café and Ergon Energy)
  5. Entrants must not use performance time as a platform for political statements
  6. Entrants must not use offence language or wear offence clothing during performances times
  7. Entrants are to perform in a safe considerate manner ensuring their performance is of no risk to audience or themselves.
  8. Entrants agree that they are entering this competition at their own risk.
  9. Entrants must adhere to OHS standards, including but not limited to sun protection and staying hydrated.
  10. Entrants must be available to compete on the date of the Grand Final, Friday 4th September 2009 between 4.00pm - 6.30 pm
  11. Entrants must adhere to all directions from the Event Manager and Council Staff
  12. All entrants must perform 1 hour of street performance at allocated areas and times during Festival Cairns to qualify for the Grand Final. These hours will be programmed according to the entrant's availability.
  13. Entrants are encouraged to promote the Buskers Festival and the Street Star Competition to their audiences.
  14. If entrants are under 16 years old, they must have written consent from their parents and/or guardians who must sign this competition entry on their behalf.
  15. The Event Manager has the right to disqualify any entrant of the competition if the any of these terms and conditions are not adhered to.
  16. Upon signing this form entrants authorise F.U.N, Ergon Energy and Cairns Regional Council to use photographs and footage of their performance for promotional and marketing purposes
  17. * Buskers can perform anywhere within the CBD, as long as they maintain a minimum of 15m from any outdoor dining area and are not (nor their audience) interfering with pedestrian flow, CBD operators from normal business operation, entries and exit ways, public amenities or loading areas.
  18. ** Buskers can perform from 8am through to Midnight for a maximum of 1 hour at any single location. After an hour you must relocate at least 50m away.
  19. *** Buskers may use battery powered amplification through until 10pm, as long as this does not cause a nuisance to surrounding businesses.
  20. Upon signing this form, entrants have read and understood all the above terms and conditions and agree to comply with them.
